An interesting one from steam dreams in 2014 - no loco allocations yet (a good thing since its a while away) so let the speculation begin - Personally hope to see the K1, k4 and a B1 somewhere!

Friday 9th - London to Troon (OW)
Saturday 10th - Troon to Inverness (OW)
Sunday 11th - Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh
Monday 12th - Inverness to Durobin Castle
Tuesday 13th - Inverness to Fort William (OW)
Wednesday 14th - Fort William to Oban
Thursday 15th - Fort William to Mallaig
Friday 16th - Fort William to Durham (OW)
Saturday 17th - Durham to London (OW)

    (OW) = One way only.

With that itinery, I'd expect a K1/4 and Black Fives to dominate, apart from something 75MPH rated for the first and last days.

Is 61264 going fully blown mainline now ?, I thought it was going to be Whitby only ?, 61306 hasn't had a full blown mainline test yet, and has only done that under DCR as a TOC rather than DBS (presumably still Steam Dreams TOC of choice).

If it's anything like this year's Cathedrals Explorer, half of it will be by diesel or coach.

The brochure stated that all legs should be steam hauled, although there are options for passengers to take a coach instead of the long positioning move by train on the 13th May.

SD current choice of operator is DBS so this will effect what type of loco's maybe used but this could all change of course by next year.
