According to the Heritage Painting facebook page a repaint of 1300 is underway with a picture showing red undercoat being applied to the cabside, which would suggest its going to end up in a red livery of some sort. Can anyone confirm? Would red have ever been an authentic livery for this type of loco?

Red undercoat doesn't have to equal red top coat. Some times bright colours are used to show and bumps or dinks etc

There have been a number of pronouncements from the charter organisers that she is not going BR black

So that leaves either the current livery or a variation of LMS ?.

The owner is on here.. and quite active, I'm sure all will be revealed when ready.
I'd be interested to know where it's going to run, Embsay would be nice, as would some of the newer lines.. Wensleydale and Weardale.

Or maybe there is a longer agreement with the KWVR who would benefit from another loco and one appropriate for their L&Y stock

It's going LMS red - I've seen a pic. Not authentic, but it makes a change I suppose...

The pic I saw is now on Heritage Painting's Facebook page, which I guess makes it official? I suppose you can do wonders with Photoshop these days, but I doubt anybody would be bothered to do a loco part in primer and part in gloss?

Improved Yorkshire engine red perhaps ?t

Think the LMS smokebox number plate is a giveaway to its final guise.

Must have taken hours of work to get the Mortared Stone work effect on the tender side.
Is it produced by Williamson's in any other regional variations?
