Ok thanks to Kje7812 here is version 2.0 of my timetable. Can Kje or anyone else help with the sets for the local diagrams GW2a and GW2b. And could someone give me the non public LE or ECS moves so I can at least put them in the right path?

Bekijk bijlage SVR Spring Gala - An Enthusiast's Unofficial Timtable Version 2.0.pdf - REMEMBER: This is an unofficial amateur timetable and is not approved by the SVR
Saturday and Sunday timetable (not going on Sunday)

If I can get this completed you're all welcome to use it if you want or print it off and burn it - whatever!

    Thanks again

I agree the lack of a Goods train is a shame. Perhaps there is an issue with wagon availability. I would hope it hasn't been shelved completely.
If you want Goods train action get yourself to Foxfield, Chasewater etc - all loose coupled with brake vans actually there for braking (and only on the back so reformed and shunted at each end of the line as well!)

Don't there an issue with wagon availability. SVR has one of the best demo Goods of any line in the country. A real shame it wont be showcased at this event, though itt'll no doubt be in use for the ASG. Maybe for the SSG it would be possible to run it start/end of each or restrict to a single section like Bewdley - Kidder? Ideas for the furture.

As for 2013 event though, how does 1450 return to Bridgnorth after working the 1800 off BH? Is it put on the back of something or does it rtn LE?

They are correct then? Sorry to keep plugging at you for info like this I hope you don't mind. :tape2:

Hopefully someone at the SVR will realise (or remember?) that they have a dedicated following of people who want to know this stuff when they are wondering whether to come to one of their events.

One can but hope. This is the second year the SSG has had the same issue. Last year though one of the volunteers did an excellent job in ensuring it was available prior to the event. Shame no-one been allowed to do the same for whatever reason this year. As I said previously, you'd think the SSG and ASG were run on totally different rlys.

I think people have to remember that this time last year SVR tried a very ambitious timetable and the creators of that we're burned both by crews and the public because it was possibly one step too far and with the foggy starts as well didn't bring much happiness to the masses.

This year it's being kept more manageable and there are less risks being taken, but we still have a variety of locals operating throughout.

The autumn gala has the advantage of all night running which allows for more positioning time for locos and stock.

I do agree that it is a shame we don't have a goods train at either end of the day, but running that does pose a risk on the schedule that could cause impacts for late running. If the day starts like that its impossible to get it back, and at the other end of the day it has the danger of making a 1030 finish a midnight finish very easily which is bad for both public and staff.

(This is not an official view just a personal one)

I am using the information from the SVR website, which states the proposed facings for each locomotive. To be honest, 80072 can face whichever way it likes, it still has two clear runs in daylight. Unfortunately, the same cant be said for SKP.

Do you mean gala? My issue isn't really regarding facing north or south (Manston up Eardington was incredible though), it is more to do with the optimal facing in order to maximise the number of forward facing runs during daylight hours. Try looking at the gala timetable with both WB and SKP facing north rather than south. You get three forward runs with WB in daylight, and two with SKP, which are surely two of the bigger attractions at the gala? Therefore, I am still at a loss as to why the SVR planners have yet to see this...

The masses must be crazy, because 4464 on a rake of teaks certainly bought happiness to me!

Well, only the loco part of 34007 is yet to arrive which hopefully will turn up today at some point. Now if some nice weather can turn up as well, that would be great.

Apologies for the beginner's question, but... I'm heading up to the SVR on Friday and planning to travel in the morning and photograph in the afternoon. I think I've figured out how to get to Northwood Halt and the bit on the outskirts of Bewdley towards Kidderminster, but how do I get to the area between Kidderminster and Bewdley that I think is called rifle range? Around Foley Park tunnel. I'm expecting to have to park somewhere and walk around the nature reserve, but I'm struggling to find the right place on the maps I can access. Any help much appreciated.

If it's where I think you mean, most people park on Gould Avenue East, Birchen Coppice, and then go through one of a series of squeeze gates and down the hill towards the tunnel.

Birchen Coppice can be a bit dodgy.
I would continue from Toll House Cottage to Stourport and turn left at Burlish crossroads go straight to the severe bend and park there. This was the site of the American hospital from the last war.
Just walk straight on and you will soon come to Bewdley tunnel with a view straight down to Bewdley in the distance.
The hump just after turning left is the old Burlish LC on the original SVR.

    Cheers Dave
