    And arrived Newport 11.04.

Although we nearly didnt make it, snow caused taxi to be cancelled! And the walk was far further than the hotel said it'd be!

Indeed. It was the Holiday Inn Express. Managed to get a passing taxi last bit if the journey though which mean we made the train!

Thats a very realistic video from Egbert. Temperature in my lounge seemed to plunge as I watch it !!! Or was it just me. Plenty of steam about and the sound as drawing away superb. Pete. ps have you defrosted yet. Its nearly Easter !!

Was a thoroughly good day. The pair looked fantastic and were in great form. As usual the staff we great and the weath down in South Wales was comfortable. So glad we managed to get to Warwick road, really thought we wouldn't!

Bens food was excellent too, the curry spice in the soup was magic! Hope everyone gets home safe. Snow is thinning on this Chiltern unit now, lot less in Warwick than Birmingham.

Saw this a couple of times this morning plus an epic smash up Old Hill in the gloomy snow this evening, Halls on top form!

The pair departing Snow Hill this evening: Birmingham Snow Hill | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

A class 67 totally knackered the decent arrival shot I had in mind, so I had to improvise under the less than ideal roof, the pair filling the concourse with steam on departure in amusing fashion.

A great day out with the Halls scurrying along and breezing up Old Hill on the return. Given the conditions it was a nice warm experience as well. A good job, well done - VT and WCR. Thanks also for turning the booked Snow Hill station stop into a passenger drop off point. The large numbers who got off would have clearly been grateful.
