Saturday afternoon and there was (what appeared to be) a named LMS loco in the yard of the NRM. Unfortunately the door was locked so I could only see the tender and boiler, thus knowing it had a nameplate. There was a carriage between the tender and the door.
Anyone able to confirm which loco please? Was it visiting for a short while from another pres centre?

45305 has been in the old diesel depot for some time, now the running shed area.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but I only got there at5.30pm and it was already dark outside. I can only say it was a Jubilee or Black 5.
Reported elsewhere that 45305 was visiting. Does that Black 5 now carry a name?

It did carry the name Alderman AE Draper but when I saw her in York in December she didn't have nameplates unless they've been put back on.

UK Steam has 45305 listed as being at York but was last updated on March 14th.

I saw a photo the other day of 45305 at the NRM recently, and she was carrying the nameplates then.

They must have refitted them before her first tour this year then.

This is the one I was thinking of, but irwellsteam has posted a more recent one.

I can confirm that 5305, with nameplates, was outside the NRM last Wednesday when I was past there.
