Plenty, but depends on availability. Hornsey's wheel lathe sees a couple of EMUs a day normally, one for day shift, one for night shift, depending on staff.

 

Of topic but I don't think Hornsey can handle steam engines.

 

Ilford can though and does.

 

Believe Wimbledon has coped with steam locos too.

Speaking of Tyre Turning, seems 61994 sneaked in under the radar to Tyseley on Tuesday for I presume that reason, probably a little late notice for most of you (I've only just been made away of it myself), but she's due off at 08:35 on Friday morning via Sutton Park & Crewe back to the East Lancs.

Times are now up on UKSteam for Thursday's move by 44871,45407, K1, K4 to the north east.......four steam locos through the Calder Valley in one day...........must be a first............

 

K1 & K4 will move to York on Friday but with the same times listed on UKsteam.

 

Ooops sorry........4 in the same week then.......

 

I have a dept time from Castleton of 11am for Friday move, not the 1pm of Thursday??

Oddly, it only takes them an hour to get to Todmorden on Thursday and yet its two hours on Friday.....

 

It's a typo, the time for Hall Royd Junc. on Friday should read 11-59 not 12-59.
