..."online booking v income generated", bit like asking "how long is a piece of string", it all depends on how good the site is, as has been mentioned before the TR page needs to be cleaned up and made simpler to use for online booking, maybe then we might have an idea if it works or not.

So what suggestions do you have for "cleaning up" the webpage, could you let the Talyllyn know please.

Fair enough to ask. However it would be nice for any suggestions to be really listened to. I can't put suggestions into Baldwin's mouth but a glance at the website reveals it to be uber cluttered with a lot of "stuff" which will send dizzy anyone wanting travel details who is not an enthusiast.

Please accept this is kindly meant.

I'm sure if you took the time to look you may well find some of the suggestions that i've already mentioned to do with this.

You hit the nail on the head there, without having to go back through all the postings i did say the same thing myself.

Why exactly should the TR listen to two people banging on about the same old stuff on an internet forum?

Indeed, puzzles me why someone claiming to represent the TR started a thread on here asking for suggestions.

Does the TR have a manager either voluntary or otherwise?

No one is forcing them to !! If they don't want to know then they don't have to bother coming here, it's only a discussion forum and nothing more, the same applies to anyone who may come on here.

Exactly, the TR has no obligations, real or imaginary, to enact any suggestions put forward. Ideas are welcome but demanding that simply because you write them on an internet forum means that they have to be listened too and then put into practise is absurd.

No one is obliged to read or participate in this forum, no one is forcing anyone to do anything. I started this thread simply because i found the recent news about the TR worrying and looked for more information to help. In anycase see post 407 for a better explanation.

Yes the TR does have a manager, it also has a Council and a Board of Directors.
