My efforts from a very sunny Clapham Junction. Trying to perfect my shots with The Shard and St George Wharf Tower in the background but not sure which one of the eight including them is the best.

Here Comes The Sun...and Tangmere

A failed freight train just outside Barnes station caused cancellations and delays on my route back to Chiswick afterwards. The driver of our service took great delight in pointing out the offending train as we went by!

 

And here is Tangmere approaching Virginia Water, competing with the bird song.

And here she is round the corner, having just passed through VW. Together with a rather spectacular departure from Winchfield an hour later!

Yes Ralph he has nearly disowned me, his own brother, for being great fan of 5043, even though I am Southern through and through. Good to hear that Tangy ran without a DL, at least to Salisbury.

Level at Potbridge but climbs away from Winchfield at 1in337 onto Shapley Heath cutting.

 

Forget 1 in 337. Welcome to Devon and 1 in 37!! Riley's girls stormed Dainton and bang on time too. Cracking sight in the afternoon spring sunshine

 

Can't argue with that. I witnessed the '5's on the approach to Stoneycombe. What a wonderful sight and sound.

Lots of shove duffing going on at Honiton. Slightly dissapointing I'd have thought for the punters.

 

It was pushing hard up to Crewkerne Tunnel as well... but was not working on the climb to Semley, it was switched off...
