    Very unlikely. I gather that Ian Riley's brave boys are bringing reinforcements to Carnforth on Monday evening to dispose of and prep the Black Fives, ready to take the train from Preston on Tuesday morning, while the regular support crew get their heads down.

    Reading is now closed to charters, but I believe that special workings and ECS etc may be allowed through Reading overnight. Also FGW have made some changes to their ECS schedules to provide a path for 5043 on 11 May.

    That's something you hardly see these days, a blanking cover over the end of the corridor connection on the support coach. Never seen one on a mark 2 coach.
