As there has been a lot of interest in my previous post about railway stations that are no longer in service and a train graveyard in SA, I thought I would add another couple of stories.

Here's an article about a station at Balhannah that is slowly rotting away, while some other stations nearby have been luckier and have found a new purpose.

There are also some more photos on Flickr if you would like to see others.

Thanks for the pictures of Balhannah -- my favourite station , visited it in 1999 and again in 2011 -- a shame it can t be revived as a local living museum

Thanks athelney. It's a real pity the local community have not found a way to use this piece of their history. Fortunately I have found some other stations that have been re-purposed, like Mount Lofty.
