    I think that the PRLCT have a plan in place for her in the future. I read it out of Steam Railway magazine in 2011.

    Bit confused. Is 5690 also getting steamed up already or for a trip in the short-term future? Last I heard was 5690's cab was still outside the shed at Carnforth when 45699 was making her first movements and trials.

    I forgot what issue of Steam Railway Magazine it was but there definitely was a good article officially stating that PRLCT would start fundraising for 6203 in a few years or so. I'm not getting 6201, 6203 and 6233 confused when talking ab:)ut them.

    How did this thread turn into this? Oh, the color red!

    Anyway, I hope Carnforth get some great results tomorrow with Galatea.;)

    We all know the best loco's are painted green, that's why Mr Smith has his favourite pet Scots Guardsman painted like that, a sort of tribute act to proper loco's *runs for cover*

    Given the magnitude of the restoration its hardly a shock that teething problems occur but it would surely be more economic to do some running in at a heritage line before embarking on main line tests? Obviously WCR to do as they see fit, their property etc and they will be more frustrated than anyone. No doubt offers have been made in the past but not really seen as necessary. If only the original plan for 10A to feed locos for the Lakeside branch had come to fruition ...........
