Looks promising, assuming Galatea's loaded test run was succesful...

Looked at the times and it seems like an extended day compared to the winter runs. They were weekend of course.

The winter ones had a faster path from London, taking 3 hrs 40 against this one 4 hrs 20.

I wonder if that means 45699 is going to Blackpool for Compass instead of 48151? Or maybe the load on Wednesday is too big for such a "new" Jubilee unassisted?

Enthusiasts may have Galatea or the Scot, however Sutherland is nothing to Sneeze about. Here She comes Shap!

The CME would be a bigger load than the Compass trip and includes Shap.

I also understand that timings for the latter show both diesels being removed at Carlisle .

Thought I should post in here and make this thread more about the summer CME's in general?

The run for 27th May, Monday, Worcester - Carlisle, was advertised as out via Shap and back via the S&C with a pickup at Preston in both directions ( however, suspect return Preston pickup was to be as per usual CME practice, Blackburn on return ). However, timings have surfaced on RTT :

    Outward 1Z55 : http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U50677/2013/05/27/advanced
    Return 1Z56 : http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U50673/2013/05/27/advanced

And as shown, the out is now via the S&C and return via Shap. On the out, there are no stops between Crewe and Hellifield, and a 5Z54 is showing for Carnforth Steamtown to Hellifield - http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U50674/2013/05/27/advanced

It does mean thought, that there is no Preston stop or accomodating stops in place.

With 46233 up for the 22nd run is it likely to layover at Carnforth for the Monday 27th turn as well? Can't see a move for 60009 listed as yet and it was needing attention after the Cath Ex according to reports.

Jonathan, thanks for that info; I have started a separate thread for the 27th CME.

According to RTT 46233 is now running from Farington Junc., back to Butterley not Carnforth.
