    With the black 5 down south what steam loco will be pulling this trip,jube or scot ??

    The most recent evidence suggests the scot is in better shape than the jub which was last seen returning to Carnforth from Norfolk with an apparent lh cylinder problem. If it was fit it would have been an option for the Duchy instead of 44932 being a class 6.
    In the absence of anything contradictory the recent scot test run seems to have been a success so the better bet for the CME.

    44932 was chosen for the Duchy because gauging had already been done for Black Fives for GBVI - posted in seperate thread by West Coast driver.

    Fair point, wasn't aware that info had been provided from a reliable source. May the speculation continue, maybe the CME will be double headed!
