A pity. An extra half hour would have seen the sun just right. IMG_9202-web.jpg

I had an extra half hour AND another hour as a 4 min early into Peterborough turned into a 90 min late at Huntingdon

It didn't do my hay fever any good standing in grass for a couple of hours!

Lost an hour and a half between Tallington and leaving Peterborough tonight. We watched it through Lolham and all looked well. Another observer commented they were low on coal (don't know how he knew this).
    Any ideas what happened anyone?

I think this answers your question! :)

Taken from the A1 FB page

"Graham Langer I gather that the problem was not one of lack of coal but of quality and in no way reflects badly on the organisation of the run or the management by the crew. Struggling to cope with poor fuel, the decision was taken to call a halt and re-stock the tender to avoid potential hold ups at critical points on the network nearer London. A good call I'd say!"

    Where's Ollie!

UKSI has 70013 Oliver Cromwell down for the white rose on the 22nd, so where is it now, and where will it be stabled and serviced for the start of the run? Cant see anything on RTT for Southall except the standard pre booked paths,

    Edit

I can see the path for Ollie from Southall to the X, so the question is, Is Ollie already at Southall?

Yesterdays trips were just 'bedding in' trials. I am very pleased to say that the loco ran faultlessly, it is right on beat, and rides very well. Loaded trial next week. Congrats to TLW & LSL.

The GCR is not connected to the network is it? how and where does it get its locos on and off the network.
