    Did the rain keep the crowds away or were you lucky to be able to get that shot without hoards of people in it?

    Plenty of people around although I suspect the rain did deter some and yes you needed the patience of a saint to secure images especially in the fleeting moments of sun . I got very lucky especially towards the end of the day when a particularly heavy shower helped clear a lot of people to go home. Best set of images I've got so far on a Tyseley open day

    Thanks Martin, I must admit that being a workshop person myself that I always find photos of other peoples workshop of great interest, especially newly built ones. Tyseley loco works has always held a great fascination for me having worked next door in the BR depot and having known Bob Meanley for more years than I care to remember!

    Yes it is rather a cramped site - esp compared with how it was back in the 1970s - pity they cant repeat the joint open day with the depot next door a few years as that opened up a lot more space.
