    Why did this one have such a roundabout route through west London? There must surely be several shorter ways from the Brighton main line to the LSWR main line.

    The plane in your video at 4.00 is a C130 hercules on the north/south low level corridor. One used to regularly drop down the hill from Chailey crossroads and over-fly Sheffield Park at very low level before climbing away over SP Park.

    I would imagine that the route was to allow them time to serve meals and make it into something of a day out.
