RTC Scarborough Flyer 2013

i see the Scarborough Flyer is back again this year, but which route across the Pennines?

there tour description says via Rochdale, but there booking form says Hudersfield

wonder which is right as problems last year at Stalybridge are now rectified with the remodelling of the station

Just had an e-mail reply from RTC it is picking up at Huddersfield and not Rochdale/Brighouse

looks like 46233 for the 1st one plus a diesel if weather keeps on like this

Anyone know whats happened to 70013? as it seems to have disappeared from the Crewe roster all Scarborough Flyers now in the hands of 46233 & 60009

 

IIRC this was confirmed a month or two back. Ollie will most likely be based at Southall this summer.

Well Oliver Cromwell is supposed to be coming north for next weekend to partake in the East Lancashire Railway's 1T57 event and then the mainline 1T57 on Sunday 11 August. Maybe it is then going to head back south.

 

70013 is going to the North Norfolk Gala 31/8 - 1/9 , and hauling the 3 times postponed trip to Buxton on a Saturday in September

 

UKSteam quoting inclusion of diesel, if all the rain comes this week as forecast then maybe no supporting diesel?

I really hope that nr shall let 46233 power the train, 47 behind it or not. Seeing 61994 being pushed today, sad. 46233 is not the type to be pushed around, I hope.

seen a report from Stockport 47580 on the REAR pushing

 

Diesel did not appear to be pushing as the train departed Stockport over the viaduct, but I'm sure it will "assist" over the more flammable sections.
