Masbury Railway Station for sale

Hi all, more news from the Somerset and Dorset, the SDRHT has just been offered the old station at Masbury for £500,000.

The downside is we need that money in the bank by the end of September 2013 or a developer may make a bit for the site. This is worth every penny of our money right now. Please support this appeal if you can, and please ask all your friends and contacts to help support it as well.

We where not given much time to think about this property hence the rush.

The station is in the perfect place for the project at Midsomer Norton to reach and for the creation of a new S&D heritage centre and workshops.

All the S&D Groups are working together on this one so all your support will be most welcome

No not very 'new' news, but nothing wrong with keeping it fresh in people's minds and hopefully encouraging some more donations.

 

So far with out any major support or advertising we have raised £40,000, ok, not enough. But there are people out here that are supporting our efforts, all we are asking is for everyone to donate a £1.00 or the cost of a cup of coffee (or more if you want to) each and it does not become a major problem.

Thanks Keith for pointing that out for me, a lot of what was said there is going into the mix and what we will do with Masbury should we get hold of it, fundraising has never been easy even in the best of times.
