NSR No127 arrived back at Foxfield yesterday, as you can see Stanegate have made a first class job. The Trust have a few finishing touches to apply - replica oil lights and vents, grab handles and lettering. NSR No61 is now at Stanegate, spring 2014 will see both coaches back in service with our Victorian locos - cant wait !.

I hope that the Stanegate team are having a well earned break over the bank holiday. Photos of the "Knotty Trust's" coach are now on the Foxfield web, our own website will be updated in the next few days as we also recover from a very hectic period !.

We just need to decide what coach to send once 61 is finished and the small matter of funding when we have !.

I'm having a nice break, quietly resting and surfing t'internet......so I'll go check up in a bit......

...plus feeding the rescued blackbird, which has now fledged and moved into an avairy. When it is a bit stronger (flying properly!) and feeding normally then we'll try a soft release.....

Having seen the coach for real yesterday it was almost impossible to believe it was what had sat in woods at Dilhorne all those years, seemingly too damp to make even a half- decent bonfire. Excellent stuff.

Seen a picture on Facebook that the second Knotty Coach has now had its external restoration completed.

Add to that the NSRC (Churnet Valley Railway's Charitable body) Annual Raffle for 2014 is to raise funds for NSR28 planned restoration, plans for a NSR Rake of coaches are certainly moving forward.

Is there any Updates from the Knotty Trust boys about their planned event in September at Foxfield?

I will give Glenalmond a nudge and let him update the full news, suffice to say I had a look at the new arrival yesterday alongside its previously restored stablemate and they both look exquisite.

So do we , our plans for Trust Shed are almost finished. Finance is another matter but we will be applying for grant aid in the next few weeks. We hope to get bell and the two coaches together for photos ( only at this stage ) in a few weeks, there are still a few jobs to do before August.

We just need to dot a few i's and cross a few t's before we can say a great deal more, but there is lots more to come.

Stanegate have once again done a fantastic job - thank you to Ian & all the team - we have more for you to do as soon as we can raise funds.

    Hi Guys,
I'm not sure if I'm being dense but do you have any interior shots of the coaches on your website ?

    They both look fantastic.

Looking at the VCT survey site, I can't help asking about "the one that got away" No.229 - is it certain that it was scrapped? The way it is worded sounds a bit vague.

Are there any internal structures to stop the roof sagging?
