A Longmoor Military Railway valedictory

TB3 - I have this book which I can recommend Longmoor Military Railway (Railway History): Amazon.co.uk: D.W. Ronald, Richard John Carter: Books - it contains a lot of detail including locos and track plans - which varied considerably over the life of the line. It even details the sidings which in the build up to D Day loooked like Feltham yard at its peak!

 

Thanks domeyhead - I was very lucky however to find a copy of that for sale some years ago on Ebay - it's got a place of pride in my collection of railway literature.

 

My Dad has just put together a video of some of his photos from the last open day at the Longmoor Military Railway, thought I would link there here if anyone is interested!

 

I'd be very much interested alts - any footage of Longmoor is welcome!

 

Not sure if my Dad has anymore of Longmoor, but he spent his teenage years traveling most of the country so he has plenty of things that no longer exist! He is going through his slides of old photos so hopefully he will do some more!
