Dates now updated as above, she has to return to NYMR for a Lambton Trust Special on September 21st, so catch her at CVR whilst you can!

Normal services can be either load 4 or 5 although recent weekends have seen 4 used. If you want the loco hauling more coaches I would suggest Wednesday 28th August will be a winner as it is a cream tea day which normally means load 6 including the heavier kitchen car. This formation has already been in use (this Saturday/Sunday using 29 unassisted) for a wedding/cream teas.

No problem, I had the pleasure of a ride during a Wine & Dine evening on Saturday and must say the loco was very impressive climbing out of Froghall station with the six coaches - the NYMR really has a gem of a loco with No29, it is perfect for CVR trains and can only thank them for letting us have it for a couple of weeks.

There will be 30 seats first come first serve on the BSK for the paying public

A Churnet Valley Steam service will operate between the Cauldon trains with No.29 in charge!

I was looking forward to seeing No 29 working on the Cauldon Line this weekend but it seems she is confined to the valley service. Great pity.

No.29 was making easy work of the 6 coach train today but failed with injector problems on the third trip.

No she's not! Saturday she is CVR services, but Sunday she is TnT with one of the 33s up Cauldon (prob 102).

Can some one please confirm if the trains are indeed going as far as Waterhouses Junction as other sources are saying they're only going as far as Ipstones.

    Thanks

This weekends Cauldon services run to what was Cauldon Junction (to give it its proper name). This is just short of Bridge 39 (I think) where the Waterhouses line used to diverge and is about 1/2 mile short of the quarry.

As lil bear has eluded to, Saturday is all Crompton TnT up to Cauldon with 29 plying the CVR and Sunday is 29 TnT with a Crompton up to Cauldon with the DMU plying the CVR. So Sunday is your only chance to experience No 29 working up to Cauldon.

As posted on the MCR thread, track bed clearance is in progress at the site of Ipstones station loop which will be commissioned well before the end of the year (exact date T.B.C)

Thank you. I'm planning to come to the CVR on Saturday regardless but the person I hope to share driving with is hesitant if the trains are only going to Ipstones.

Thanks Emma - Sunday it is then. Now just have to decide which train.
