Presumably the pipes would have to go through the subway here to water.

No, the car park is adjacent to the up slow platform.

Filling the tender to overflowing did indeed take only a few minutes. I shot some video which may or may not be worth uploading.

My video is now at http://www.flickr.com/photos/mellishr/10626842064/.

Apologies for shakiness. If I'd expected to be filming on the platform I'd have taken a tripod. I expected to film from the footpath on the south side of the line, where a tripod wouldn't have been usable because of the fence, but too many trees have grown since I was last there (many years ago).

Sorry but it looks as if it was being shoved big time by the Union Jacked tin box. Just look at all the noise & clag it was making especially around two minutes in.

Yes, in some of the clips; but on others Cromwell is clearly working hard and the diesel apparently not.

On the start away from Bushey they were both working.

No complains yet about that headboard, usually something like that gets lots of moans as not authentic.

It's in a traditional shape and colour so doesn't really stick out too much until you read it, the "Duchess Headboards" range from long thin rectangles to all sorts of weird and wonderful shapes that coulden't stick out more if a replica of the Death Star was hung on the top lamp bracket.

I do find it strange the 47 was pushing at what looks like Blakedown of all places, not really somewhere you need to run like a lunatic or adverse gradients, Old Hill I can understand with that many coaches on mind.

I do wonder if with the charter payments thing due soon, whether WCRC thought it prudent not to risk buggering up the WCML at such a time ?.
