A train station at Mangotsfield used by passengers until the late 70s? I think I missed something ...... the press is never boring

Quite a tidy looking BR brake van too. Amazing what is tucked away in odd places.

Yes its the ex Millom Ironworks Barclay no.12. The loco has single slide bars. It was last used in 1971 on demolition trains at Millom and went to Carnforth, it did get used there. It was sold to a Lakeside Railway member, the chap who owns the Big Barclay 0-6-0 sidetank. I didn't know it had been sold on again. The auction is today, be interesting to see what it goes for and if the new owner really wants a loco as well.

I gather that the property failed to sell.
