Well with 2013 winding down I hope that now is a good time to start discussing the third season of these special tours. 5305/70013 are posted on uk steam while The 2 Jubilee's and Scot have been mentioned on Railway Touring Company website as well as here at the forum. Let the chatting begin!

As the steam comes on at Carnforth it's logical that it will be a loco based there unless RTC are going to have something else moved there. Also it's highly unlikely to be a '5' so that narrows it down.....

Preston has now been deleted on UKsteam.info but is still showing on the RYTC site, I'm planning on travelling on one of these, and usually board at Preston, does anyone know what's happening ?

    Thanks

Twas ever thus, I am afraid. What usually happens is a pick up at Preston and set down at Blackburn for the London departures.

UK Steam shows where the motive power changes and not all the pickups/set downs. The motive power is changing at Farington Junction which is as previous years.

Thanks, the same as this year then, RYTC issue service train tickets to passengers who've boarded at Preston to get back to the starting point.

Is it likely to be known much in advance what loco will work which day(s). Will be doing the WCME again but wouldn't mind knowing what loco it might be

No. 19 will be at Barrow Hill for the start of February, with No. 7 & 9 joining her thereafter at Shildon for 2 weekends I believe as part of the Mallard 75 events. So certainly two dates will be A4-less.
