E-mail received from RTC saying that this will now be hauled by 70013, insetad of 60009, as the latter has an axle-box problem.

 

That spoils the 2 A4's on the ECML in a day then!!

Sad news for John Cameron's team, but hooray for the 5305LA, able to step into the breach and save the day.

 

Shame about '09. Hope she will be fixed soon, to haul the Xmas Yorkshireman on the 21st. Will be on board that one.

 

Also sad for the linesiders; I understand John Cameron was preparing a "Christmas Surprise" !

 

Don't tell me. He was going to name it Rudolph and have a big red nose on the front.

 

Can't say - as I don't want to spoil the surprise should John succeed on his next outing !

 

.It is a shame about No. 9 as it would be a tribute to the late Nelson Mandela by carrying an appropriate wreath. 70013 is a worthy replacement and I will enjoy the run behind her tomorrow.
