Sorry about lack of updates as we go along but shall we say I'm no longer in my seat in coach A. :)

Not at all. 18 201 has done a number of runs above 90 mph in the 21st century. Well before Bittern set off to do 90 mph.

I timed several in 2002 including one at 96 mph and one at 102 mph. And she has done another 100 mph run within the last 2 to 3 years or so.

A very, very fast run from her has been debated on and off ever since 2002.

That looks like the same 'edging' at the limit as on Thursday. So honours even on the maximum then which is only fair. However running down a great big hill is a touch easier than where we were in Durham. (I bet I don't get away with saying that!)

I think the sustained speed over the level is more impressive than peaks on the downhill bits. Still exciting though.

Absolutely and one of the better bits is still to come.

I'm just glad all three runs went ahead, went well, (in the end on Thursday), and, fingers crossed for the run to Kings Cross, with no problems.

Disaster! They've turned us slow road at Huntingdon. Crew nonplussed.

Report us a late running EC working that should have passed us at Connington is the reason we've been turned slow road.
We're through St. Neots and it hasn't passed us tet

No RTT updates for 15 minutes.

With a stop North of Huntingdon and then crossed to slow line it begins to sound like there may possibly be a signal or some other infrastructure etc problem?

No doubt from where Spamcam81 is we will know soon!

Why thank you 34081! A very timely response. Albeit a pain in the ar.s for the run to the next stop.

From RTT looks like the late 13:30 ex Edinburgh right behind, so you've been put slow line to let it by and the up fast looks incredibly busy around 17:30 onwards. Having other trains on time was key to getting this to work and pity its gone wrong now. Earlier at Doncaster I was amazed by the number of conflicting moves taking place only a minute before 60019 came through. A very fine line indeed between a clear road and yellows.

Hopefully they have slotted Bittern out at Sandy on FL behind the late running service from Hull (that's non stop to KX) and that might give them a clear run possibly FL further into London than planned.

    Mostly climbing now to Stevenage.

Where does the 90 mph running limit end? Far too many posts here now for me to find it!
