Heading from Barnes Bridge to Chiswick. Six pics in total taken from the A316 bridge - right arrow from the first photo at the link below will take you to the rest.

That first pic of the six is not the best but put it in there to demonstrate the show it gave at Barnes Bridge and then later after Chiswick station, once it had gone by us:

57.313 on rear as insurance. Not a bad idea in view of possible line closures due to the weather conditions. <BJ>

Just pulled up at Hedge End. Regulated for late running down from Wimbledon (lineside fire Raynes Park) at Addlestone Jn I guess, as the late running Basingstoke and Alton went through Woking first, thankfully otherwise we'd have missed it coming down from Surbition!

Have had quite a few shoves from the rear, quite a queasy feeling actually.

To comment on something in another thread, there has been a steam dreams steward at every pick up point so far.

Not surprised, filmed it at Worplesdon (20 late) , railhead conditions are terrible - loads of leaf fall (as you will see when I upload the vid) wise move to stuff the box on the back all the way (tho it wasn't working when it passed)

Just a view of the track conditions today at Worplesdon. At the end you will find a close-up of the rail head.

Great tour yesterday with the engines performing well although the railhead conditions were terrible all day along pretty much the whole of the route. The sanders were in use quite a lot yesterday to say the least!

I did indeed mean Shalford Junction, but, having got off a North Downs line train at Shalford (from Betchworth) and started to walk to Shalford Lock, I slipped on a muddy path, dislocated my ankle, broke my leg (fibula) and tore my ankle ligaments. Just out of hospital a couple of hours ago and on crutches for ten weeks. Saw the train passing quite late as I was lying on my back in agony being collected by the ambulance crew. One of my less successful photography expeditions!
