No details of dates and "theme" as yet, but the GWS Didcot website and SVR sources confirm that the GWR Steam Railmotor No. 93 is booked for this Gala. I will post further info when it becomes available.

I am hoping that this will be a "branchline" themed Gala, but that is just my personal wish!

Its 4936 Kinlet Hall. Nice to have a Hall back on the Valley, and 4930 Hagley Hall enters the works soon for its overhaul to start.

Steam Railway reports that the RM isn't visiting due to what are perceived as very high road haulage costs and steaming fees. 2 ex-GWR tank engines and a BR livery tender engine are being sort of which 2 are first time visitors to the railway.

With 5322 booked in to WSR and Llangollen after this event, here's hoping she's been invited!

5322 is being used for photo charters prior to the WSR gala and will need to be there about week before.

Surely that excludes it from the SVR gala then. Or does it ???????

For charters with 5322 then I'd gently steer you towards Llangollen and the 3P20 Parcels group dates where Freight , Carmine Suburbans and Carmine & Cream Mk1's are all in use . You also get to travel rather than a minibus tour of somerset lanes on the WSR dates

PM me and I'll forward you on details

I'm not interested in attending any photo charters currently, what I am asking is what stock are the WSR using with 5322 on their photocharter? Afterall they've only had their own Mogul for 10 years...

I'm hoping the tender engine in BR livery might be 76084?

I read it as a GWR loco in BR livery but can't remember for certain, can anyone confirm?

Steam Railway States " two former BR Western Region tank engines and a BR livered tender engine" and goes on to state " two of the three locomotives will be first time visitors to the SVR" . I take that the tender engine is not Western Region.
