    A photolink to some pictures of the Swiss flagship 4-6-0 Nr. 705 which ran in early December on a special through Western Switzerland. The De-Glehn compound is in mint condition and was originally built in 1904.

    She's certainly a rather elegant loco, even with the bits on the outside I mean the pipework not just the brass headlamps!!

    Interesting how the cylinders are " inverted" (if that's the right word) towards the frames.

    Not sure what you mean by that. The (slide) valves are above the cylinders, in the same position as the piston valves on most modern locos. The cylinder positions are as copied by Churchward for the stars.
