    Ralph - lets have a new title as well while we're at it. As you know it is very rare that this thread actually reports on proper "light engine" (LE) moves. Engine and support coach movements are classified as ECS moves (5Z--) and as such a more accurate title would be "Loco Movements and Test Runs 2014". Pedantic I know but ...

    Ralph. And in the same pedantic mood.....can we change 'Whats Going On' to 'What's Going On'? There is of course no problem with the usual Forum glitches such as 'your' rather than 'you're' (apart from the fact that some folk think that 'your' is ok) but perhaps the thread titles should be correct?

    It's a WCRC 33 picking up a pair of 4-CEP motor coaches from Stewarts Lane and taking them to Eastleigh for 'defurbishment'.

    In this case I believe the intention is to remove all 'modern' internal fixtures and fittings and return it to 'as built' condition. The unit as a whole is preserved on the East Kent Railway.

    There is in my dictionary ! :)

    According to the definition of de - a prefix meaning among others removal or reversal , forming compound verbs (with derivatives) from verbs and quotes decentralise / decentralisation; de-escalate / de-escalation; demoralise / demoralisation; as examples of same.

    My Concise Oxford Dictionary is the 1976 Edition, however, but I don't think the language has changed that much over the years; fallen out of favour / fashion perhaps but not degenerated into disuse - yet ! ;)

    I think you're winding Ralph up, Fred. I'm certainly no English wizz, but you surely can't just plonk 'de' in front of any verb !! Its not listed as a word in my '76 version and is not an extension of 'furbish'. We could create a heck of a thread on here as to which verbs would look silly with 'de' in front of them lol...Pete
