I had that come through too. I wonder if the B12 is one of the other visitors? I read somewhere that she was available for hire for 2014. Impressive beast the B12. Saw her when she ran on the Met. Now the B12 would get the punters in.

I know I keep banging on about it, but...

 

The North Norfolk Railway have a Gala the same weekend as the Midhants Gala, so unlikely.

 

Wouldn't mind seeing M7 30053 again or a 8F which we haven't seen at the MHR.

 

Now wouldn't that be nice!.....................................................

But as they say "watch this space" or rather the MHR website next week for the other two!

Though I'm still trying to get my head around Met 1 in LT Maroon on a green set............................................ but infinitely better than faux teak........................... but then again the red 8F on the green set at the GCR doesn't look out of place..................

Just hope we don't have any double heading this time when 34046 returns. At the last gala there was only one round trip pre day that 34046 worked on its own. I wonder what happen to 52322?

 

34046 AGAIN!!!

We've only just had the bloomin' thing!

But as Lee says, hopefully she'll be running solo all three days......................................... I don't think she'll DH with 34007. as she's off to the CVR anytime soon, Sooo may not be back in time!

I can also see some midweek photo charters happening this time round with possibly all three visitors, well 34046 at least.

As for 52322............................... maybe she is, maybe she isn't...................... all should be revealed by the end of the week, but I for one would love to see her!

 

Well I've not seen 34046 since she was on Barry so I'll welcome her visit.

 

So you and the Lads are coming down then?

If so I'll introduce you to the delights of Triple fff!

 

I suspect we'll be there. Not sure if I'll be working or gricing.

Why bother wasting money with a engine that visited not that ling ago rather have engines that haven't visited before or for a long time like met 1

I may have had a "moan" about 34046 coming back so soon, BUT I can see why she is....................................... at the time she was unproven both on the mainline and preserved lines, and don't forget on day two she was retired early with a minor niggle........................... So to get her back again can only be seen as a vote of confidence from both party's.............................. AND (more than likely) it'll give more people a, the chance to see her up close, as she's not exactly done a lot in the short time she's been back and b, the chance for people to experience her solo unlike last time when caution was the watch word!.....................................

 

According to the MHR web site they are still looking at a third loco. I wonder if they are looking at another main line loco which would be cheaper to bring in than using road haulage. Wouldn't mind another LMS 5MT.

 

Is it just me or is the MHR struggling to come up with original ideas for gala visitors? First 70000 turned up twice in three years, now 34046 twice in 6 months. Add that Tornado seems to be there every other month and it does start to look a little unadventurous.
