I planned two shots today but managed to catch the B1 three times, first shot crossing the River Wenning at Low Bentham, bit of a gamble this one.
Then some how I managed to get in front of the train just before Settle so I dived into Long Preston and got a grab shot off the bridge, Long Preston.
Last shot of the day at a gloomy Goosemere Height just outside Hellifield.

Great phots and vids from all, thanks for sharing.

And as for giving your mrs the camera Waterbuck, well, I only gave my other half my camera once, and what did she do with it?
    She DROPPED IT.....on the pavement!

    Nice shot, she did well.

When I have to abandon my car on a pavement, run down a lane, climb a gate, run across a muddy field
and then have less than a minute to get my breath back and compose a shot using manual settings I call it a "grab shot"!

Thats such a good video, superb locations, great video and sound, I'd be really really proud of that one. And doesn't that engine sound on top form and nicely driven too.

Thanks, and I appreciate your comments, but I have to say that all of us who ventured out for this run, whether doing video or photographs got some very pleasing shots from a good variety of locations.

In the 5690 thread post #14 implied there is to be a test run on Wednesday 29th by 'a jubilee'. Anyone able to confirm please?

I understand that there is a test run scheduled for Wednesday and it is most likely Galatea.

Noted on another forum that WCRC 57/3 has recently been on hire to FGW to power the overnight Cornish sleeper services so this may be another 57/3 running to Southall as back-up loco as FGW is about to apply further modifications to the 57/6 fleet.

Looking ahead, I see that the MHR may have jumped the gun in advertising Clan Line for its Spring gala in March. This will not be a novel movement for the engine if it goes ahead, as she's been there before, but I see that the MNLPS has a rather terse note on its own site implying that details have yet to be agreed. My guess is that this won't just be about the fee but who will be driving her, amongst other matters.
