Six photos of the Deltic / Duchess convoy arriving at York can be seen here, plus a few taken in the museum including Flying Scotsman (boiler and tender only):

    Confused! Help please.

UK Steam shows a 10.39 departure from Southall L.S. while RTT shows it as a 09.00 departure from Southall WCR and then hanging around Hanwell Bridge Loop until 11.01.

After then, both sources concur with a 11.14 pass at Acton Main Line.

Am I reading this right and if so, which is correct?

Is 60019 running at the front and chimney first or what?

Clarification will be much appreciated. Ta.

where did you go to take the photo, and is there a path to it, I live in Oldham, and never seem to find any shots like this due to the trees and shrubs.

Well on RTT that slot is now activated with these times

But take care that long wait in Hanwell Bridge Goods loop sometimes isn't long and it pops out early.

    Thanks for the tip.

Splendid video - and the sun came out for us!

Is that a new hand / shoulder camera mount you were using? - must make panning easier

Nice to see you and the 'Old Boy' again.

    Until the next time, Cheers!!

So whats the gen on this move from York to Shildon tomorrow, Union of South Africa and Mallard. Is UoSA the motive power or is it diesel hauled?

Mallards doing some miles between Shildon and York repeatedly, plus Grantham and Barrow Hill.
It's probably done more miles on the mainline in the last few years that 60007 has !

I've done more mainline miles than 60007, and that just me using the foot crossings.... Now do we know if the pair are diesel hauled or is UoSA in steam and the motive power.

uksteam.info suggests 60009 will do the honours today.
But the return will have to be diesel-hauled because there is no turntable at Shildon.
