    hello
I visited Saturday morning although I love barrowhill and have and will attend every event they put on
I do think they could have displayed the locos better they seem to have got into a habit of displaying locos in the same way at each event
maybe if everything was facing the other direction you could get photos looking down from the coal stage as well as trackside
and be the right side for the sun/light this would also create a shot of the what ever is on the shuttles entering the platform
it was difficult to get a decent shot before 11.00am as the sun was full in your face thus making the purchase of a ticket in advance to gain early entry
    a bit of a waste

Right, I think we're all agreed that the guys (and gals) at Barrow Hill could have done things differently with regard to the Deltic's etc, but has anybody stopped to think about what the labour force (mostly volunteer I should wager....) was up against in terms of timescales, number of bodies available, number of moves to perform, site constraints, any unforeseen's, photo charters and preview day etc,etc,etc.............................................. no thought not! If you think you can do it better, then please let Alexa and Co. know...................................

OK so they didn't have their "enthusiasts" head on when considering what to do with the Deltic's, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the day, and the beer - cracking ales Gromit!! :)

Anyway, here's The Link to my humble efforts from Saturday.

The vast amount monies taken for event should have been better used to allow the people to see and do what was advertised and yes plenty of time and could have been done so much better elsewhere with volunteers or paid staff.

But only if you have paid for the evening sessions - which are a lot dearer than the Barrow Hill price !!

Believe me, the amount of money made from an event like this is not vast by any means. If you have experience of arranging events like this, please enlighten us.
