Brilliant shot! Great to see 60007 back where she belongs. Looking forward to seeing her at Didcot next weekend.

It really is good to see SNG back where she belongs, forgive the slow timing if it means the objective is achieved, i.e. getting this proud locomotive back on home metal pulling a special. I just hope that it was an uneventful journey which will encourage more outings. The shots do her justice, thanks everyone.

Indeed. 60007 ran faultlessly yesterday, made easy work of the schedule, running early most of the way home despite various signal checks etc. 67 mph into Stoke tunnel after the climb out of the Trent Valley from a standing start, very good indeed. Very good day.

Great photo. As we went over the viaduct I said that I really hoped somebody was out taking this shot!

I'm sure the editor of 'Chime' would love to see this in his inbox...

Great to see SNG back on the mainline where she has sadly been absent for a while.

Also great to see an operator having enough faith in her capabilities not to latch "security" on the back.

Well done to all operating her, and lets see her become a mainline fixture in the next 18 months.

Great to see SNG back on the mainline again. I made the pilgrimage to York Station to see her arrive and depart. I'm glad everything went OK with the trip. I very much enjoyed looking at the video clips posted on here and over on U Tube.

Looking at the milepost times it looks like I may have done 60007 and crew a disservice, speed into Stoke tunnel more like 68 or 69 mph, actually accelerating on the final 1/2 mile.
