Admit it DD. You're a Shed Ned and knew from the start that 66 would be there. :)

Not just me then, thought it was my internet connection buffering. Only had it repaired today following massive slowdowns in the evenings, tonight is the big test.

I wondered that, but an earlier post commented that Tornado appeared to be doing some of the work at one point. If there was just an 'engine sitter' crew on board 60163 then that might be perceived as a bit 'naughty'?

Got to say it Dave, your whole expression is classic, but was that sort of language really necessary?;)

I always thought a slight crack of steam was required when being towed just to keep the cylinders warm so that the lubrication was at running temperature.

Thread drift apology! I see what buseng means about Tilehurst station. I expect that most travel from there is to and from either Reading (to change) or Paddington, so the shelter on the down platform, which will mostly have people arriving, is hardly needed, while the up platform, which will have people waiting for their trains, provides no shelter.

Does anybody have any idea when Sir Nigel and Tornado will work back to Southall? It looked like they were positioning the coaches for a move quite soon when leaving Once in a Blue Moon earlier. Can't see anything on RTT yet. Cheers

According to DRC on Facebook, 60163 returns on Tuesday, 60007 heads to Westbury on Thursday morning.

And from what I overheard today, 60163 will be dragged (piloted?) back in light steam........

    Which way she'll be facing - haven't a Scooby!

Thanks for the replies everybody. Is Tornado being dragged again as she is not yet fully approved for main line running following her winter overhaul? I spent most of today chasing my 3 year old son all round the site so didn't get to speak to any of the crews!

Got better things to film on Tuesday than a thermos flask being dragged around.
