Anybody left? I wasn't aware there were many people to start with! Pity some of the comments have gone, we could have merged them together with all of stuart's other "projects" to create an online Cv type thing he could show to prospective supporters on his next projects.

AT least he uses the same ID all the time so we now it's him.(so far...as far as we know) Mind you his trade marks should be easy to spot!

Don't go giving him any ideas! Although, as you say, it probably would be quite easy to spot him

Sounds like a good idea Martin. Maybe the forum members could club together & buy him a one-way ticket to go over & check them out.

I'm not sure whether with the latest turn of events Stuart will come to his senses and channel his enthusiasm into an established scheme

Scam sounds a bit harsh doesn't it? I am sure behind all this is a lad with his heart in the right place...

Deluded I think, but not a scammer. From his posts earlier this week (before they were deleted) he seemed genuinely perplexed that when push came to shove, money didn't materialise. You can choose all sorts of words to describe Stuart and his schemes, but I genuinely don't think fraudulent would be one of those words.

I did not say I supported the scheme, just that I have seen enough to think that your comment is not fair.

Given Tracy's comments it doesn't cast the self appointed chairman in a particularly good light

in preservation, there are the dreamers and the do,ers, in the past pre facebook twitter etc, they would meet up in a pub discuss how they wanted to save this bit of railway, that engine, and anyone with half a brain cell would either walk away if it was half baked, or if it was a worthwhile idea it would attract genuine support, the problem we have now is that where as before these half baked schemes would have not come to light , and died quitetly, these days they all get an airing, unfortunatly age does not act as a barrier ,there are plenty of schemes out there that are never going to come to anything take 35011, a very good idea, but it came to nothing, because its to many, a scheme to far, and did not have the back up in facilities,or funding to move it on, so its nothing new, prehaps now stuart will realise he is going the wrong way about things, but i fear he has shot himself in the foot because anywhere he goes, he will be not trusted, if he had as many have said, helped in an established group restoring another engine first ,gained friends, got experience and earned trust, then he would have stood a better chance, fund raising then could have taken place, he would have got help from already working with engineers, 2859 would hopefully had still been there in the 2-3 years it would have taken.

You're not missing much. Any reasonable queries for information get ignored and negative comments deleted it would seem although it is good to see someone has asked about livery (will be decided by vote apparently).

He doesn't seem to realise most of his 'likes' are probably from the sort of people who stop to look at a car crash!

One bit of Tracy's posting deserves comment: "... try to muscle in on other steam preservation groups and been told where to go". That's the oppposite of what we've seen here; several people trying to persuade him to join an established group.
