USATC S160 No.5820 goes grey - Keighley & Worth Valley Railway - 18th April 2014

    The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway on the 18th April 2014 featuring USATC S160 No.5820 'Big Jim' seen running in U.S.A. Transportation Corp grey for the first time since returning from overhaul earlier in the year. Also in service was BR 8F No.90733 and Class 20 031.

    That's a shame, it looked good in BR black.
    What's with the warning flashes ? -it's not going mainline is it ?

    When locos run round at Keighley, the move takes them adjacent to the electrified Aire Valley line so maybe that explains the flashes.

    90733 doesn't run round at Keighley then ?

    Maybe it has tighter clearances. Need a KWVR man to answer this I think.

    Maybe we are both wrong and it was sat in the shed all along, the one were viewing pictures of is the missing one from Portland :)
