Our 10th anniversary,
Come join us in a free get together, free food and drink.

Timings and location to be confirmed.

 

With NatPres having played a big role in the promotion of SSS1 / SSS2, would be appropriate to see if something could be arranged with 68800/LR for a weekend.

Though having said that you've also supported the RUSSEL Appeal at WHHR, and assisted with MCR Cauldon Lowe Re-Opening.
Maybe something could be arranged with these places too?

 

It would be a very good idea, and nice to revisit some of the places we have helped in the past.

The idea of a celebration party is very admirable, BUT I think you might want to look into regional parties, a big ask I know - but maybe better than somewhere centric. I know I'd struggle to make it anywhere Ooop North without overnight accommodation!

Personally, the idea of taking over a railways beer train sounds like a winner with suitable sustenance to soak up the ale - question is, are there the bodies out there willing or able to help?................................

 

That's one idea I've suggested to Glyn myself off-forum. Easiest thing to do, just reserve a single coach for Nat Pres members or something.

 

If we could get enough support, the beer option would go down very nicely in my book

Depending on the response, I reckon in certain areas you could be looking at the whole train............................. and going from personal experience I know how much certain members of this forum can put away!

In other area's I think you'd be looking at a pub room, but it all boils down to bodies wishing to play "Mein Host"

 

We're bouncing ideas around, including locations. This could be big and central, with smaller events all around the country. try and get support for this and lets see how far we can take it, the more people the more we can do......

 

We have also had potential locations listed at Barrow Hill and Crewe Heritage Centre.

Would it not be a good idea for you to outline your proposals and let us lot help to put the meat on the bones?

You could make a year of it with a regional event once a month, so NP goes on tour!!

 

There is a lot going on behind the scenes at the moment, possibly a main event and several satellite events across the country

Well, something tells me beer is going to feature quite heavily, possibly with various railways Ale trains.

 

If the mod trips on the winter CME are anything to go by…

indeed maybe that should be the kick off event...

 

Nat Pres Beer Fest, anybody?............................. with BSW's to boot!

Or a mobile beer fest on the WCME.................................... BUT given from the sound of things the CME's aren't happening next year......................................... plan B?

 

Hopefully they won't let the S&C being closed get in the way of a good trip.. winter trip round the Penines perhaps ?
