In one of the platforms - Loco and POB will probably be able to avoid that road whereas a passenger train couldn't.

The GPS speedo on my mobile got over excited by being in the presence of 60007 on the run last Saturday. When we were coming along the stretch next to the motorway it said we were doing 96mph and eventually went up to 104mph! Very strange blip as it was okay after this.

I think you will find that there are no roads that do not run alongside a platform for some of their length.

Well I rushed out to see this, and in my rush I went out with a flat camcorder battery, hey ho never mind. It shot through Maidenhead relief UP 2 minutes early at close to its max permitted speed, sounded good and clank free and the footplate was loaded up with tango men, tho the 47 on the back sounded like it was more than idling.

Going back a few posts, does that imply that the Carlisle A4 issue is resolved and the Hadrian 2 tour will be OK with number 9?

Not necessarily. The restriction was through the platforms. The light engine could have gone through one of the non-platform roads or a goods-only avoiding line

Not sure about reliability of info but on RTT it arrived and departed (three hours or so apart) from platform 1 at Carlisle.

My betting would be turning Braunton, ready for the starting gate of the GB at Victoria

It might be financially prudent to buy the car breakers yard at the rear of Southall shed, and build a turntable. I popped over there the other day, you get a quite a good view.

Spoke to Dave today...................... he did laugh when I mentioned what happened to you......................... makes up for him been so regularly bowled I suppose!

Got your batteries charged for tomorrow Jeff?............................................;)

Edit - could've been Nunney as well, given the way both were/are facing from a pic I've just seen!

    Hello,

Can anyone tell me when Nunney Castle leaves Bristol Temple Meads today, please.

I see from RTT that she is running late into Bristol and I cant get the next part of the journey OZ8O up on RTT.

Thankyou for all your banter, makes me smile.
