    IR reports that 45407 unable to haul GBVII on Friday due to being blocked in Cadder Yard by derailment of 44871 on Thursday - both 5s returned to base after re-railing and inspection of 44871...

    Fair enough, but is it really that unreasonable to mention it here given that the movement you pointed out wouldn't have happened without the derailment, and others, like myself, may well not have trawled through 20+ pages of GBVII thread to have seen it there? I'll stick to lurking in future...

    45231 stopped in the loop at Shap summit after a slow and sick sounding climb, reported to be a valve timing problem. Driver returning to Carnforth to get a diesel to take the loco and stock back.
