    Just home from watching Number 9 passing Relly Mill. That damn graffiti on the first vehicle after the POB is a disgrace - my sympathies to those who have to get that garbage off and a pox on the vermin who do such things...

    We were hoping for a good show from her on the climb out of Durham; sadly the Duff on the back was running well above tickover, presumably the 'shove' was to get her into Ferryhill loop quickly to avoid the service immediately behind her being delayed. She was late leaving Durham loop thanks to the service booked to pass her there being late itself; only a couple of minutes, but as we know, the ECML can be tight for steam on occasion.

    Caught in the downpour before No.9 came Stephen yes. Luckily under some trees for a bit of shelter.
