    I picked arguably the worst day of the year for my first visit to this excellent railway, dark all day and rain mid afternoon.
    Visiting loco P Class No.178 really looked at home though in the North East.

    The photo in the loco shed is timeless and very evocative. Must get up to Tanfield again soon, as you say, an excellent railway.
