I think all the crews and support staff deserve a big mention for the three engine move today on what must have been a very long day from Carnforth to Dereham .

Question sort of posted on another thread, but I can't imagine a triple headed steam locomotive movement with stock (and without a Diesel being present) is very common on the mainline? A statement very much there to be shot at if ever there was!
Thanks to all who have recorded this unique event.

I think you may have been disappointed with the wind direction and light. There was a lovely sunny glint an hour earlier :-(

I'm not a photographer but I think that's a great shot. Thanks for posting.

If the driver of yon Scot turned it loose those small wheels on the 8f would be spinning a bit.:)

Nice shots, just unfortunate that they were obviously running to a caution...
I wonder how you are supposed to get on a train there if you are not allowed on the cross hatched area...

Lord knows, but I really want one of those cameras with lenses 200 yards apart, I bet its a bugger to get in the car.

Didn't you know that's why they were going slowly, did the first run past then backed up, everybody changed position and the came through again......:) so no big lenses just a sprint down the platform..
