I am curious as to how there can be a signalling problem at Dent when there are no signals there, unless you count the one on the up line just before Blea Moor Tunnel at Dent Head.

Flawless outward run behind the 8F with weather to match. Have to complement both Statesman and WCR organisation.

Well they have had plenty of practice from previous seasons ! ;)

On a serious note - however - it's interesting that they have reverted to the later departure from Lancaster at 08:08 so presumably loadings have confirmed this to be the best path for commercial success [and lineside interest]

I wonder if Statesmen get enough demand to go twice a week with the sold out Fellsman trains?

The 8F seems thoroughly competent for this duty. Steam to spare, kept to time all day and not troubled by the gradients - plus plenty of chat!
The stock and staff both commendable too.
A recommended day trip. Even found Privateer Beer in Carlisle all the way from home.

Nice shot, there is a foot crossing soon after the viaduct so the driver has to make sure any users are warned of his approach.
