I have now edited my previous post to suit the content in the e-mail! ;)

Sounds like you might know the identity of this possible visitor though. I wonder if it's a 14XX tank for the shuttle service? :)

I was told that Bo'ness need Morayshire for their services and would need to hire a loco if it went to another railway. Then there is Transport costs.
Since MHR and NNR Spring Galas are usually on the same weekend the B12 would only be available for an Autumn Gala.
B1 Mayflower - Does the owner let anyone else driver it ?

I hope there is a farewell event for 31806. They had one for 73096 a few years ago.

As soon as NCB No'19 has been outshopped and run in - hopefully within the next 6 weeks - and the Sumer season is over (as the locomotive is a lot more pleasant for crews in the occasional Scottish heat!) the locomotive will POSSIBLY be available for hire.

However, railways with steep climbs would have severely restricted loads given then fact she is only a class 3 and the locomotive is approaching the end of it's ticket which expires next year.

31806 is out this weekend, for those of you who wish to to see her in service in one of the last times on MHR metals!

I believe its 31806, 925 and 850 this weekend for war on the line!

Railmotor? That would save on the Ropley run rounds with the shuttle, which always seem to involve quite a bit of juggling of shuttle loco and stock to keep out of the way of the through trains.

I suppose a 14XX and autotrailer would achieve the same thing, although I'd rather see 30053 with a pull-push set (wasn't there some talk of that a while back?).

Just need to get one or two railways further South to hire her, who have appropriate rolling stock, and get some photo charter organisers involved as well .

The Railmotor!! I forgot about that. Now that would make it an outstanding line up.

Gala of the year! That would be impressive as the Spring gala was incredible!!! Lots of money raised for the railway and thousands of happy railway enthusiasts. ... plus having Clan Line around helped raise money for CanPac.

I cannot say for certain at present, but I would not be surprised if the 29th June is the last day working on the MHR for 31806.

The intention is not to use the home fleet apart from 92212 which was a Didcot and therefore Western Region loco. This is an all Western affair, which has caused a certain amount of discussion in the loco mess!
