The loco is currently at the back of the diesel road, and the boiler on a trolley at the back of the crane road. No progress has been made in well over 12 months. Can't really make comment on the reasons for this.

Does anyone know what has happened to 80072, as I have seen that the Class 26 has had to run for the last few times she should have?

Boiler gone, front truck , frame extensions & cylinders removed. All that remains is the main frames sitting on the 4 driving wheelsets.

Is it a sight worth seeing as i need to see both 2861 and 2859 that are both on the Llangollen are they both avaliable to see in the eyes of the public or not.

    Many Thanks

I take it that you are ticking off the preserved locos? Once did it myself until I discovered beer in 2005. Started ticking that until I lost count... Anyway, 2859 is fairly easy to see, it being parked-up behind 5952 'Cogan Hall' near Llangollen shed. Best to turn up on gala days as the shed is usually 'open' with a please and thank-you. As for 2861, I don't recall seeing it in the vicinity of the shed, but that is not to say it wasn't there.

The low loader thats returning the patriot today will be removing L99 and taking it back to its home railway.

5199 will (or should) be back on its wheels by the end of today. A rather busy day for the staff.

And if you ask any of the volunteers at weekends, they are more than willing to show you around the shed (and the donations tin!!)

How big is 80072's boiler problem big, as presumably that only leaves 3802 until 80072 or foxcote get the ok

    Hi all,
How long roughly has 2861 got left do people reckon, does anyone know whereabouts she stored at the railway.
Also where is L99 going back to.
While i remember is Taff Vale 28 or now numbered 450 in gwr livery coming back to the Llangollen or has it left for the Gwilli line for good.
Is there anything worth seeing of 4709 the new build night owl project.

Many Thanks If Anyone Can Help.

    Yrm,.

Sooner the better, as the platework for 7822 is due to come on the same low loader.

TVR 28 is due to move around a bit, between Gwilli, Llangollen and NRM so i believe. Not sure if there is any set in stone plans as yet though.

Depends what you consider worth seeing as regards to 4709. A set of frames in the process of being rivited together in the shed. A set of extension frames and front bufferbeam, cylinder block outside, and wheel sets in the yard.
