Once at the testing stage shall Leander need more than one run around the test loop like Galatea?

If she needs it. However, as we know, Leander was a 'runner' before overhaul, unlike Galatea.

At least 10 Jubilee's including 45709 were painted in what became B R mixed traffic black livery, in early B. R days. 5573 in 1946 slate blue,5594, a dark shade of maroon about the same time, so there is plenty to go at.

Whenever any steam loco is overhauled at Carnforth WCRC tend to do a shake down run from Carnforth to Hellifield followed by a full Carnforth circuit once all work is completed in order to gain its main line certification; 5690 will no doubt follow the same procedure.

Wouldn't rule out entirely a running in visit to a heritage line.

Patience might be a virtue but it is difficult on a day after Galatea has put in a flawless performance. It is hard to believe that there shall be 2 of them housed at the same location. Does anyone else get a little anxious?

and a 3rd up north quite soon with 45596.

Maybe one will make it's way south.. 45699 has southern credentials after all.

The thought of 4 jubs all in steam in 2-3 years ( depends on how Coalhopper is). In 4-5 years time. There could be the tantilising site of 7 Lms 3 cyl machines all lined up.

    The 7 include the Patriot unless there is a another 5XP somewhere? 5690, 45699, 45593, 45596, 46115, 6100 and 5551 as the 3 cyl machines.

If you also include 42500 & 46100's true identity of 46152 that gives 9 actual legitimate identities !:)

I do like the idea of 2500 doing a 3 cylinder line up! Hmm Barrow Hill anyone?

For anyone wishing to see 3 lms 3 cylinder machines together on one site then tyseleys upcoming open day could have Bahamas,Kolhopur and The Unknown Warrior all on site. Depending on 5551 still being there.

Getting back to 5690, taking it one locomotive at a time, I really hope that Mr. Beets get his beast out soon given that she is being advertised for a few RYTC's fall schedule tours in addition to doing a few Fellsmans.

Coalhopper allegedly going into the works when Clun Castle vacates it, it being more gauge friendly than GWR stuff no doubt having a bearing, though presumably Edgcumbe won't be a too expensive turn round with the nick it's in, suggests 5080 Defiant is unlikely to be freed anytime soon :(
