    Err, if you must!

Actually I'm concentrating on driving.............. and because of the way the 'sign' on the Railway Arms stands out, your eyes get drawn to it - thus missing The Railway...

I'm pretty sure that bad railway pub signs used to be a regular feature in Railway Magazine? I personally have a lovely enamel picture at home with an A4 that's been converted to a 2-8-0 I believe!

Looks like this one has the right wheel arrangement at least.

Unlike the Station In in Knebworth when it had Mallard on the pub sign. It was numbered 468.

I guess you'll miss The Railway now anyway, as it's closed down.
The sign has been saved though, currently mounted in the RAT Bar.

    Both in Kidderminster:
The Railway Bell Hotel has what appears to be a GNR large Atlantic in LNER blue (which doesn't sound a likely livery), while the Station Inn has a Midland single
    station-inn-kidderminster.jpg
And both are next to a GWR line...

Yes, I did notice it today, its now an emporium for home furnishings......

Still, the pub sign keeps the "Child Catcher" happy, on "his R.A.T"!! ;):)

To be fair… this is to most "normals" a very common (at least as common as you can get in todays age) of steam locomotive seen in Surbiton in recent years..
4464 has done much of the honours in that part of the world.

    Hehe.
I would have taken a shot of it in it's new location yesterday, but I only had my phone, so it wouldn't have been publishable.
I'll try to remember to take a compact with me next week.

I remember that one from when I was a kid, thankfully the Great Western in Acock's Green meets the standard I demand with a 2 cylinder Swindon 4-6-0 ;)

    Sorry - I've found a few more!!

There's an INN SIGNS - RAILWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT group on Flickr:
    https://www.flickr.com/groups/1102118@N24/
Most are quite good, but there are a few weird ones.

    In Wakefield:
    https://www.flickr.com/photos/garstonian/5444573747/in/photolist-9i7S6a-hLB1BA

Nearly, in Doncaster, the "Plant" seemed to make strange sized wheels:
    https://www.flickr.com/photos/96859208@N07/9317515336/in/pool-1102118@N24

And what on earth is this in Halifax:
    https://www.flickr.com/photos/barrytaxi/6113424125/in/pool-1102118@N24/

The standard tank in Billericay needs a bit of attention:
    https://www.flickr.com/photos/45898619@N08/8804565243/in/pool-1102118@N24

The LNER motion and livery don't look too good in Pitsea:
    https://www.flickr.com/photos/45898619@N08/8515132087/in/pool-1102118@N24
(as for Thomas's wheels, I think they need a visit to the wheel lathe)

And I didn't realise the gradients between Leeds and Bradford were *this* steep:
    https://www.flickr.com/photos/barrytaxi/5961664367/in/pool-1102118@N24/

    Enough for now.

Go on, admit it. you're bored aren't you?? (well, there is nowt on the box......)

As for the Halifax one, it looks like a rather bad attempt at a rebuilt Scot..........

And the last one................ looks like the gauging train hasn't been through in a while!!

There used to be a pullman coach used as a dining room attached to a pub by Winsford station, however the pub was called 'The Brighton Belle' and the loco on the sign was an A4...o_O
