Anyone know what the current situation with this loco is? I believe it was supposed to go to Ireland but according the the SRPS website, Fintown don't yet have the infrastructure to operate a steam loco yet so its still at Bo'ness. The website also says she has undergone a major overhaul, been fitted with air brakes etc. Was the overhaul completed/ has she been steamed yet?

According to the latest Steam Beano "the popular Waterford & Suir Valley Railway in the ROI" (never heard of it myself) have made contact with the SRPS about The Fair Maid of Foyers. Would be nice to see it running somewhere - Douglas station pilot maybe.......? Ray.

No I do not currently volunteer
Any news about this loco? Seems a shame if she is restored and working, and several 3' gauge Irish lines crying out for steam, but no action...
